1. Scope of Services

Smart Page Studio LTD (“we”, “us”) designs and builds websites, apps and automations for businesses, hosts the websites we build, and offers monthly care and automation plans. What’s included is set out in the package you choose or, for custom work such as apps, in your written quote.

A few sections work differently depending on whether you’re buying as a private individual (a “consumer”) or for a business. Where they do, we say so. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

2. Payments & Deposits

The balance is due when you approve the finished work, before we hand it over. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance — see section 8 and our refund policy for details.

Where you choose to pay in instalments via Klarna or Clearpay, your agreement for those payments is with that provider, not with us. We receive the full amount up front and your project proceeds as normal; missed instalments are handled by the provider under their terms and may affect your credit file. Eligibility and any affordability checks are theirs alone. Refunds are processed back through the original payment method and remain subject to the deposit policy above.

All prices are in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay: where VAT applies it is included. Payment is taken by Stripe on its secure checkout; we never see your card details. A written quote for custom work states its price in the same way.

3. Revision Rounds

Each package includes a set number of revision rounds. A round is one combined list of the changes you’d like. Once your rounds are used up, further changes can be made through the website care plan or as paid one-off changes.

4. Hosting

Hosting is part of every website we build: we only host sites we’ve built, and every site we build is hosted with us. It’s charged monthly in advance, starting on the day your site goes live, at the rate for your package:

• Essential Hosting (Digital Identity): £9.99 a month — up to 10 GB of traffic and 500,000 requests a month.
• Smart Hosting (Business Growth): £19.99 a month — up to 25 GB of traffic and 1,000,000 requests a month, and up to 2,000,000 AI tokens for Smart Features.
• Premium Hosting (Premium Authority): £29.99 a month — up to 50 GB of traffic and 2,000,000 requests a month, and up to 5,000,000 AI tokens for Smart Features.

A request is each page, image or file your site loads. If your site goes over its allowance in a month, we’ll tell you and charge the extra at £0.25 per GB of traffic and £0.05 per 10,000 requests. If it happens two months in a row, we’ll tell you first and offer the plan that fits, with at least 30 days’ notice before anything changes — we never move you to a dearer plan without telling you. Your domain name isn’t included unless we’ve agreed otherwise in writing.

You can cancel hosting from your client portal (Dashboard → Billing → Manage plan) or by emailing info@smartpagestudio.com before your next billing date. Your site stays online until the end of the month you’ve paid for, and is then taken offline. Our prices follow our suppliers’ costs: if those rise, we may change the monthly price with at least 30 days’ notice by email, and you can cancel before the new price applies.

5. Smart Features and AI Tokens

Smart Features (included with Business Growth and Premium Authority) are powered by AI, which is measured in tokens — small pieces of text the AI reads and writes. Both reading and writing count towards your allowance. Your hosting includes up to 2,000,000 tokens a month on Smart Hosting and up to 5,000,000 tokens a month on Premium Hosting, as part of the monthly payment — there is no separate charge for AI.

When you’ve used your monthly allowance, Smart Features pause until your next billing date — your website itself stays online. Unused tokens don’t carry over to the next month. If you regularly need more, you can move to a larger plan.

6. Delivery and Timescales

Our 14-day target: most standard builds go live within two weeks of your kick-off call, as long as we have your content and feedback on time. Custom projects are scheduled around their scope.

• Digital Identity: usually ready in 5 working days.
• Business Growth and Premium Authority: our 14-day target applies.
• Custom Premium and other custom work: the timescale in your written quote.

Timescales start when we have your content — the text, images, logins and anything else we’ve asked for — not from the day you pay. If content or feedback arrives late, the timescale extends by the delay. These are targets rather than guarantees, but if anything changes on our side we’ll tell you straight away.

7. Prices and VAT

All prices are in pounds sterling and are the full amount you pay: where VAT applies it is included. If you’ve chosen to see prices in another currency, that figure is an estimate for your convenience; the price you pay is the pound sterling price.

8. Subscriptions

Hosting, the website care plan, the monthly Pro option on a website package and our automations are monthly rolling subscriptions, billed in advance. They renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel from your client portal (Dashboard → Billing → Manage plan, which opens Stripe’s secure portal) or by emailing us before your next billing date; your plan then runs to the end of the month you’ve paid for, and we don’t refund part months.

Phone Phoebe fair use: the base plan (Phoebe, £39.00 a month) covers about 100 calls a month. If your usage is consistently higher, we’ll tell you first and offer the next plan (Phoebe Busy, £89.00 a month) with at least 30 days’ notice. We never move you to a different plan without telling you, and you can cancel instead.

9. Your Right to Cancel (Consumers)

If you’re buying as a private individual rather than for a business, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you a cooling-off period:

• You have 14 days from the day you place your order to cancel, for any reason. Email us, or use the form below.
• If you ask us to start work within those 14 days (you confirm this at checkout), you can still cancel, but you’ll pay for the work done up to the point you cancel, in proportion to the whole job.
• Once your website has been delivered and you’ve accepted it, the right to cancel ends.
• We’ll refund you within 14 days of your cancellation, to the payment method you used.
• If you’re buying for a business, there’s no cooling-off period: the deposit rules in section 2 apply instead.

10. Your Content and Our Work

• Once you’ve paid in full, you own the bespoke design and content we created for you, and you have a perpetual licence to use your site’s code for your website.
• We keep ownership of our tools, templates, components and anything we made before or outside your project, and we may reuse them in other work.
• Third-party assets — fonts, stock images, plugins and similar — stay under their own licences.
• You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, the content you give us (text, images, logos, video), and you’re responsible for it.
• We may show the finished site in our portfolio and marketing. If you’d rather we didn’t, email info@smartpagestudio.com and we’ll leave it out.

11. Our Responsibility to You

We’re responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Our total liability to you for all claims arising from a contract is limited to the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

If you’re buying for a business, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business, revenue or data, however it arises.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit — and nothing in them affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

12. Complaints

If something’s gone wrong, email info@smartpagestudio.com with “Complaint” in the subject line. We aim to acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days and resolve it within 10 working days. If we need longer, we’ll tell you why and when you can expect an answer.

13. Law and Courts

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you’re a consumer living in another part of the UK, you can also bring a claim in the courts of your home nation, and you keep the protection of the consumer law that applies there.
